The song is (i think) about a man called iron man who has a power after he turns into steel and he tries save the world and he travels back in time to save the world but nobody appreciated it and therefore he saught vengeance on those he saved.Thats my view but some say that its is based on the book the iron man which is about an iron man who tries to save teh world by defeating a star spirit adn at the ened he makes the star spirt sing around the earth every moring so everyone will stop having a tendancy of fighting something like tt..ANyway the song is great and i would keep iit in my top 10 list of great songs.Great show of vocals by ozzy and simple but nice riffs and bass lines by geezer and tony iommi and great showmanship of drumming by billward. And not to forget cool lyrics.Metaphorical and meanigful to all of us to treat those who helped us with gratitude.But nevertheless the music is great.Iron man is from the album paranoid (1970).The song won a grammy for best metal performance in 2000 30 years after the song was released!!!It also gained number 1 spot on VH1s greatest metal songs of all time but god knows what happned to rolling stones!310th positon outta 500 what on earth!well looks like rolling stones has moved along with the shallow lot.
